DEVELOPING SOLAR ENERGY IN THE ÎLE-DE-FRANCE REGION
The Île-de-France region uses a lot of electricity. ECT has teamed up with Akuo, the leading independent producer of renewable energy in France. The purpose of this partnership is to develop sites for the production of renewable energy, and so be part of the Île-de-France regional plan to produce more green electricity locally.
In an area where the insolation (exposure to sunshine) is less than in the south of France, the landforms created by ECT optimise photovoltaic production, and also make for better landscaping of the future solar park.
The first joint project is the 'Les Gabots' solar park at Annet-sur-Marne (77). This ECT / Akuo project is very advantageous for the commune. With an output of 17MW, the solar park will be one of the most important in the Île-de-France. It is partly supported by the Communauté de Communes de Plaines et Monts de France (a group of 20 communes in Seine-et-Marne) and the Île-de-France region.
