20 août 2020

In his report to the President of France, Roland Castro put forward a vision of « a new kind of global metropolis ». One of its ambitions is to deploy Paris beyond its historical bounds by constructing « a metropolitan oasis ». This was the background for the contribution by architect and town planner Antoine Grumbach in which he affirms that « inert soil is a raw material of the ‘circular economy’‘ » and that its re-use is one of the key issues for the co-ordinated development of ‘Big Paris’. As the main player in the re-use of inert soil, ECT is fully involved in this process.
