ECT is strengthening the development of its projects in the Paris region and elsewhere in France with the arrival of Sofiane Chikh as Director of Development and Planning.Â
As the French leader in the circular economy for excavated earth from construction and public works, ECT aims to strengthen its position as a key player in non-built development by carrying out nature and leisure projects in cities and agricultural rehabilitation projects. With this in mind, Sofiane Chikh has joined the company as Director of Development and Planning. He is responsible for identifying, designing, and developing ECT’s new projects in consultation with local authorities. His expertise in urban development is an asset to the company, whose business is to transform abandoned sites for the benefit of local communities through a circular model of local reuse of construction and public works soil.

About Sofiane Chikh
After graduating from the Ecole des Ingénieurs de la Ville de Paris in 2008, he quickly joined the Eiffage Group, where he held various positions in the field of urban development and innovation. In 2021, he was appointed Director of Development at Eiffage Aménagement, after serving as Director of Innovation at Eiffage Construction. In September 2025, Sofiane joined the ECT management team as Director of Development and Planning.
ECT is a long-standing player in the circular economy of the construction industry. Recycling soil from construction sites to build and finance non-building projects is a unique circular model. I wanted to join this committed and passionate team to participate in the development of these development projects in the Paris region and other French cities.
About ECT
ECT’s growth is part of a circular economy strategy: reusing excavated soil from urban construction sites to engage with local authorities in collaborative, sustainable development projects that do not involve building, such as landscaped or urban parks, sports facilities, biodiversity areas, and solar power plants. ECT’s project model enables optimized management and reuse of excavated soil, transforming a logistical and environmental challenge into an asset for regional development. As the market leader, ECT meets the need for environmental engineering and traceability requirements for excavated soil from construction and public works projects, and carries out non-building projects that are useful and cost-free for local authorities.
