An ecological management guide to ensure the long-term future of our green spaces

Every ECT green development project is part of an approach to environmental enhancement and biodiversity preservation. This consideration of ecological issues begins at the design stage. It must continue after the site has been restored. After renaturation and revegetation by our development teams, a management and maintenance guide is drawn up. It is then sent to the site owner. This document provides targeted recommendations to ensure that the restored environments are maintained. Substrat fertile - La Courneuve

ECT site in La Courneuve : fertile substrate production platform with Faiseurs de Terres

ECT’s site in La Courneuve, Seine-Saint-Denis, recently obtained authorization to produce fertile substrate, an important step in our commitment to the circular economy. This project will be developed in partnership with Faiseurs de Terres, a collaboration that marks a new step forward in our approach to recycling inert soil from construction sites and supporting urban greening. Fertile substrate, a mixture of inert soil and green waste compost, represents a 100% recycled alternative to imported topsoil, helping to preserve natural resources. This process is fully in line with our strategy of reusing materials and reducing environmental impact, by giving a second

Is managing soil disposal for the Grand-Paris Express a different experience from other construction sites? The management of excavated soil from the Grand-Paris Express project differs from other construction sites in that it is more complex. Indeed, our customers produce considerable volumes of earth from stations, trenches, ancillary structures and tunnels. These materials come from different geological layers, sometimes very deep. These materials need to be carefully

Transforming a derelict site in Mazingarbe (62)

Since summer 2024, excavated soil from the construction sites of our partners – Varet Environnement, Verrier et Fils, Métropole TP, Lherbier and Briqueteries du Nord – has been helping to transform the landscape at the foot of terril 49 in Mazingarbe. The soil is used to create an urban forest, a seed orchard and a reprofiled agricultural area, while at the same time combating the invasion of Giant Hogweed, a plant that is dangerous for local biodiversity.
