Soil renaturation

Article L101-2-1 of the Urban Planning Code defines soil renaturation as an action “to restore or improve the functionality of soil, with the effect of transforming artificial soil into non-artificial soil.”

At ECT, this definition takes on its full meaning through our projects :

  • Restoring soil functionality : rebuilding a fertile topsoil layer after adding inert soil from local construction sites
  • Transforming degraded land : redeveloping brownfield sites, former quarries, or embankments into natural, agricultural, or landscaped areas.
  • Revitalizing ecosystems : creating conditions conducive to the return of biodiversity.
  • Supporting local authorities : helping municipalities achieve their urban greening goals.
