Internal training courses on biodiversity and quality, safety and the environment

Formation sécurité et biodiversité

Raising awareness among our employees about biodiversity and QSE (Quality, Safety, Environment) issues is part of our commitment. For several years now, these training courses have enabled us to share our vision, ensure safe practices at our sites and headquarters, and strengthen everyone’s involvement.

Biodiversity training

The aim is to place the preservation and restoration of living organisms in a global context and to better understand the impact of our projects. Biodiversity is not just for experts, nor is it limited to regulatory obligations. It is a factor in understanding, initiative, and commitment for all our employees.

These sessions, led by Guillaume Lemoine, ECT’s biodiversity advisor, address concrete and essential topics :

  • Definition and importance of biodiversity
  • Ecological functions and ecosystem services
  • Causes of biodiversity collapse : climate change, pollution, land artificialisation, overexploitation, invasive alien species
  • Impacts of ECT’s activities, with a focus on invasive species

In 2025, six training sessions will enable 30 employees to be trained, representing 28% of the workforce. Since 2023, 92% of employees have undergone biodiversity training.

Quality, Safety and Environment (QSE) training courses

QSE training is tailored to different field jobs: receptionists, ushers, machine operators, road and utilities workers, and workshop staff. It aims to prevent risks, ensure safe practices, and strengthen the safety and environmental culture at our sites.

The main topics covered are :

  • Soil quality control and non-conformity procedures
  • Identification of unacceptable soils (natural soils, odorous soils, etc.)
  • Specific risks by profession and associated control measures
  • Good safety practices in adverse situations
  • Good environmental practices : eco-driving, waste management, environmental emergencies

In 2025, four training sessions will enable 20 employees to be trained, representing 26% of the workforce. Since 2023, 82% of employees have undergone QSE training.

Training our teams means making a long-term investment in safety, quality, and the commitment of each individual.
