On May 24, 2025, at the end of the Course de l’Espoir (Race of Hope) of the “La Main au Chapeau” festival, Stéphane Tremblay, Mayor of Buchelay, inaugurated the new public park. Despite uncertain weather conditions, residents gathered to discover this space dedicated to relaxation and leisure, around a convivial moment shared in the heart of the park.
A park built at no cost to the municipality
The Buchelay ECT park is the result of a sustainable project designed in partnership with the local community. Located at the entrance to the town, it complements the town’s sports facilities. ECT used inert soil from local building sites to develop and finance this new space. This approach has enabled us to create a high-quality facility and return the land to public use.
A space for everyone
This park is an invitation to take a stroll. Open to all, it offers a wide range of facilities :
- Sports equipment
- A petanque court
- Street furniture for resting or getting together
- Planted bleachers to enjoy the landscape
- Flower meadows, encouraging biodiversity
- And over 5,000 trees planted in collaboration with the children of Buchelay’s Pierre Larousse school.
These plantings are part of a renaturation and awareness-raising program, combining education and civic participation.
A collective achievement
This project was made possible thanks to the mobilization of numerous teams, in close partnership with the Buchelay town council. All the technical services, green spaces and municipal staff have been fully committed to this park. On the ECT side, a big thank you to the development, VRD, operations, commercial and green spaces teams, who worked at every stage of the project. Their joint commitment has made it possible to create this park, which is now open to visitors.
