Management of excavated soil for an urban project in Blanc-Mesnil (93)

Chantier clients

An urban renewal project

ECT supports the transformation of a former industrial site in Blanc-Mesnil (93). As part of an urban requalification project, the site will become a new mixed-use neighborhood in the heart of the city. The project, led by Brownfields, calls for the creation of housing, shops and outdoor spaces. For lot 7-8, DM Environnement and Transports Mentre called on ECT.

Supporting the management of excavated site soil

ECT puts its expertise at the service of sustainable management of excavated soil. Materials resulting from earthworks are controlled, oriented and reused in a responsible manner. Our mission is to ensure the traceability of soil and to manage its recovery according to its nature and environmental impact.

On site, nearly 28,000 m³ of soil are handled by ECT. Each batch is characterized before being removed to suitable sites.

📍 Average transport distance : 20 km for local and responsible management, serving the circular economy and the environment

  • The inert soil is sent to our recycling site in Villeneuve-sous-Dammartin (77).
  • Visit soil impacted by hydrocarbons is sent to our biological treatment center in La Courneuve (93).

ECT environmental technician on site

On site, Larbi Kaci, ECT’s environmental technician, is in charge of operational monitoring. He supervises the soil evacuation phases, guided by the site’s 3D mesh. This system ensures that surplus materials can be traced and redirected to the most suitable ECT sites, as part of a circular economy approach.

Photos from Larbi Kaci’s site diary show the progress of operations and illustrate the scale of the project in progress.
