Miniature Rétrospective 2025

What happened in 2025?

Once again this year, the circular economy is at the heart of our activities. Through landscape redevelopment, agricultural renewal, and the creation of urban parks, ECT is giving a second life to abandoned sites and excavated land, in partnership with local authorities.

Thanks to our local presence, the expertise of our teams, and enhanced support for our construction industry clients, we have been able to combine operational performance, environmental responsibility, and resilience in the face of climate change. Let’s take a look back at 2025, a year rich in projects, partnerships, and collective successes, driven by the commitment of the women and men of ECT.

8 new projects in 2025

In 2025, ECT launched eight new non-building development projects :

  • In Île-de-France : Coubert (77), Fontenay en Parisis (95), Vaux-le Penil (77)
  • In Hauts-de-France : Harnes (62), Auby (59), Bruay-Baissière (62), and Sallaumines (62)
  • In Alsace : Eckwersheim (67)

3 new parks built by ECT have been opened to the public :

  • In January : Henri Bernard park in Loison (62)
  • In May : Plaine des Sports park in Buchelay (78) and Chaussée Brunehaut park in Houdain (62)

These projects, developed in consultation with local authorities, involve creating new urban parks, public gardens and biodiversity zones, or rehabilitating agricultural land. While new projects are emerging, others are in the process of being finalized, such as the future parks in Chelles (77) and Plaisir (78). All of these projects are part of our circular economy model: reusing excavated soil from urban construction sites to create and finance new uses for the site, in a coordinated and sustainable approach.

Stronger support for our construction customers

Despite the challenges faced by the construction sector in 2025, ECT strengthened its support for its construction industry clients. The ECT customer barometer reports a 92% satisfaction rate, reflecting stronger business relationships, our teams’ operational excellence, and the high quality of our site network.

In metropolitan areas, our projects are located close to excavation and earthmoving sites. This proximity supports our clients’ operational performance and helps reduce CO₂ emissions across the region.

During extreme weather events (snowstorms, heat waves), ECT teams remained fully operational. The expertise and preparedness of our employees made it possible to keep our sites open. While more than 70% of construction sites in France experience weather-related slowdowns, ECT deploys both technical and human resources to mitigate weather impacts and meet its soil acceptance commitments.

This retrospective also provides an opportunity to highlight the women and men of ECT whose dedication sustains our circular economy model. Their experience and close involvement with clients and projects combine performance, environmental responsibility, and innovation.

A look back at the highlights of S1 2025

  • In January : inauguration and opening to the public of Parc Henri Bernard in Loison-sous-Lens (62). This new park enhances the local living environment by combining leisure areas accessible to all with ecological developments.
In February: over three days, 595 students planted young trees in the future Chelles park (77), contributing to the greening of the site. In 2025, 800 children took part in educational activities at our sites. These workshops raise students’ awareness of practical examples of biodiversity.
In April: in partnership with Safer de l’Ile-de-France, launch of the Coubert project in Seine-et-Marne. The project rehabilitates agricultural land and adapts to the ecological challenges of restoring natural environments.
  • In May : the parks in Buchelay (78) and Houdain (62) were inaugurated and opened to the public. In Buchelay, the project transformed the site along the A13 motorway into a landscaped park, creating a sound and visual barrier at the entrance to the town. In Houdain, residents can now enjoy a place to relax, stroll and take part in activities in the heart of the town.
  • In June : ECT joined the Réseau Haies de France (French Hedge Network). This partnership illustrates ECT’s actions in favor of natural environments. The preservation, restoration and sustainable management of hedges is one of our commitments, particularly in the context of agricultural rehabilitation.
