Working under high temperatures: ECT adapts its practices

Bullddozer - levée du soleil - site ECT

At one of our sites, a bulldozer goes into action as soon as the sun rises. The day begins, and already the heat is setting in.

As summer temperatures reach exceptional levels, ECT anticipates and adapts its field practices to protect its employees. These measures are in line with the new regulations of May 27, 2025, concerning the management of heatwaves in the workplace.

In concrete terms, this means :

  • A daily weather watch to adjust team organization in real time
  • Regular breaks in cool areas and reinforced hydration
  • Adapting work rhythm to weather conditions
  • Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) adapted to hot weather
  • Awareness campaigns for signs of heat stroke or malaise
  • An update of the Document Unique d’Evaluation des Risques Professionnels (DUERP – Single Document for Assessing Occupational Risks)
  • An annual inventory of the most exposed workstations and risk situations

Inform, adapt, protect: ECT is fully committed to ensuring the health and safety of its teams in the face of climatic hazards.

Taking care of our employees is part of ECT’s commitment.
