Land traceability, RNDTS joins Trackdéchets

Panneau zone de contrôle

For ECT, soil traceability is a priority. We support construction industry stakeholders – earthworkers, hauliers and producers of excavated soil – by clearly explaining regulatory changes to them. Here are the latest developments concerning waste reporting requirements.

Waste traceability : RNDTS joins Trackdéchets

In the construction industry, waste traceability is a regulatory requirement. Until now, two tools coexisted:

  • Trackdéchets, dedicated to the dematerialized traceability of hazardous waste and waste containing POPs (Persistent Organic Pollutants).
  • RNDTS (National Register of Waste, Excavated Soil, and Sediments), intended for regulatory reporting.

To simplify procedures and centralize data, the Ministry of Ecological Transition entrusted BRGM with merging these two systems into a single platform.

Starting May 5, 2025, all declarations currently made on the RNDTS will be processed directly through Trackdéchets. Existing features and data will be gradually integrated to ensure continuity of service.

ECT support for our customers

For several years now, ECT has had its own chronological register, a database linked to a dedicated customer interface.
The Extranet customer area provides our customers with all time-stamped information relating to the reception of soil and materials on our sites:

  • Declarations of prior acceptance (DAP)
  • Unloading certificates
  • Detailed balance sheets of contributions
  • And many other documents useful for regulatory compliance.

To support our clients through these regulatory changes and clarify which information must be retained and which must be disclosed, two explanatory documents have been updated.

Traceability of excavated soil

As of May 5, 2025, all declarations to the National Register of Waste, Excavated Soil and Sediment (RNDTS) must now be made directly on the Trackdéchets platform.

Traceability of rubble and concrete blocks

Similar obligations will also be introduced in 2023 for non-hazardous waste (rubble, concrete blocks). The declaration must also be made on Trackdéchets.
