Land traceability, RNDTS joins Trackdéchets

For ECT, soil traceability is a priority. We support construction industry stakeholders – earthworkers, hauliers and producers of excavated soil – by clearly explaining regulatory changes to them. Here are the latest developments concerning waste reporting requirements. Waste traceability : RNDTS joins Trackdéchets In the construction industry, waste traceability is a regulatory requirement. Until now, two tools coexisted: Trackdéchets, dedicated to the dematerialized traceability of hazardous waste and waste containing POPs (Persistent Organic Pollutants). RNDTS (National Register of Waste, Excavated Soil, and Sediments), intended for regulatory reporting. To simplify procedures and centralize data, the Ministry of Ecological Transition entrusted BRGM

ECT joins Réseau Haies France

ECT has confirmed its membership of the Réseau Haies de France and its regional branch, Haies Haut-de-France. This network brings together all those involved in the preservation, protection, planting and sustainable management of hedges. Our membership is recognition of the ecological quality of ECT’s agricultural and landscape projects. This commitment to Haies France confirms that we take hedgerows as a vector of biodiversity into account in the design and implementation of our projects. By structuring the landscape, hedges provide a natural transition between environments. Hedgerows and shrub borders accompany our reforestations to create varied ecosystems. This is reflected in a

A social and ecological project blossoms from topsoil from construction sites

Along the Canal de l’Ourcq in Bobigny (93), a former plot of land is being brought back to life using topsoil from construction sites. The reuse of this topsoil has created a new space dedicated to urban agriculture and social interaction. The project, called Les Jardins Mécaniques, is run by the associations Les Cols Verts and La Cantine des Femmes Battantes. It is supported by the City of Paris, the City of Bobigny and the Est Ensemble public establishment. As part of this initiative, ECT is supplying 600 m³ of topsoil to landscape an area of 1,400 m². In 2024, ECT planted 6.5 ha of afforestation

To mark the International Day of Forests, ECT is highlighting its reforestation actions. During the 2023/2024 winter season, our teams planted 10,300 trees, representing 6.5 hectares of forests and groves. The major challenge is to create ecosystems that are resilient and adapted to climate change. These afforestation schemes are included right from the design stage of ECT projects, which transform excavated soil from the construction industry into green, agricultural or recreational landscaping that benefits the local area. Woodlands adapted to local climatic conditions Our projects are designed to meet the challenges of climate change and promote local biodiversity. 5 principles

ECT’s Green Spaces team, a commitment to the heart of nature

The design and implementation of our landscaping projects include a strong emphasis on the restoration of natural environments: wooded embankments, shrub borders or meadows. Once the inert soil has been brought in and the project’s contours finalized, ECT’s Green Spaces teams work to revegetate and renaturalize the sites, in line with the defined ecological challenges. Backed by their expertise, our teams create sustainable landscapes adapted to their environment.  A passionate team in direct contact with biodiversity Work on green spaces is very demanding. The ECT team, led by Cédric Hobé, is solid  and experienced. Jorge, Delmindo and Alberto have been

To mark World Recycling Day, ECT is highlighting its commitment to the circular economy. By 2024, 95% of the inert soil from construction sites received by ECT will be reused in our development projects. This includes the creation of parks, afforestation, biodiversity zones, farmland rehabilitation and sports and outdoor leisure facilities. 100% of the fertile substrate used to green our sites comes from recycled inert soil and green waste compost. Today, ECT deploys its circular economy projects in key regions such as Île-de-France, Hauts-de-France, Grand-Est, Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie, contributing to more sustainable regional development. The reuse and recycling of soil from
