On Monday June 30, 2025, the City of Plaisir organized a public meeting attended by over 150 local residents to discuss the Parc de la Mare aux Saules development project. Attended by Mayor Joséphine Kollmannsberger, members of the municipal council and ECT teams, the meeting provided an opportunity to present the development proposals and discuss them directly with residents. This moment of exchange illustrates the desire to co-construct an inclusive and sustainable green space at the heart of the commune.

A citizens' meeting at the heart of the project

At this meeting, participants were given a detailed look at the park’s proposed future facilities and amenities. Discussions focused on the expectations of local residents, particularly with regard to the park’s accessibility for people with disabilities and the facilitation of bicycle travel, with suggestions for reinforcing these points. Feedback from local residents was taken into account to adjust the initial project. This collaborative approach reflects the commitment of the City of Plaisir and ECT to developing a park that meets the real needs of the local population.

A development project based on the circular economy

The Parc de la Mare aux Saules is designed within the framework of an innovative circular economy model. ECT recycles inert soil excavated from local construction sites, using it to create the park. This soil is used to finance and build the park’s facilities and equipment.

Extensive leisure and sports facilities

The development of the Parc de la Mare aux Saules illustrates the commitment of the City of Plaisir and ECT to sustainable development, respecting the environment and serving the well-being of citizens. This new green space will offer residents a pleasant place to relax, open to all, where leisure, sport and nature coexist.
