Take a look at the Chaussée Brunehaut park in Houdain. This project, carried out in partnership with the town, transforms a former landfill site into a genuine nature area open to all. Thanks to the circular economy of soil from local building sites, the park is taking shape, with trees planted, pathways created and grassy terraces installed. A place designed for strolling and future events.

On May 24, 2025, at the end of the Course de l’Espoir organized as part of the “La Main au Chapeau” festival, Buchelay residents were invited by Mayor Stéphane Tremblay to inaugurate the new park built and financed by ECT using inert soil from the local construction industry. Despite mixed weather conditions, this warm moment was extended over a glass of friendship, shared in the heart of the park. Take a look at some of the highlights of the day’s events.

Over 6 hectares, ECT teams have created an ecological environment inspired by the region’s ancient quarries. These reliefs will be home to dry grasslands, which have become rare in the Île-de-France region, providing a haven for specific biodiversity.

Developed in consultation with the town of Loison-sous-Lens, this new nature and leisure area is part of an initiative to enhance the living environment. Located near the banks of the Souchez river, the park is a natural and recreational area combining ecological facilities and leisure zones accessible to all.
