Twenty-three fourth- and fifth-grade students from Louis Pergaud School in Plaisir (78) planted 400 young trees and shrubs, helping to reforest the future park. This nature awareness initiative allows students to get involved in the future of their city. Conducted in partnership with the City of Plaisir, this Parc de la Mare aux Saules project is transforming a former quarry into a 10.8-hectare landscaped and ecological park. It includes the restoration of woodlands, meadows, and wetlands. Ecological monitoring is provided by the ECOTER design office. At the end of November 2025, the “Let’s plant for the Nature” initiative brought together 40 children from recreation centers and 20 young elected representatives from the Children’s Municipal Council in the presence of the Mayor of Chelles. This environmental awareness initiative is part of the development of the future Jacques Chirac Park, carried out by ECT in partnership with Safer Île-de-France, the City of Chelles, and the Paris-Vallée de la Marne Urban Community.
