In July 2024, a drone flyover captured images of Parc de la Plaine in Iverny, a space that embodies a vision of local development and sustainable planning. Initiated by Olivier Stehlin, Mayor of Iverny, the aim of this project is to offer local residents a place for relaxation and sport in harmony with nature. In June 2024, Isabelle Ruckebusch, mayor of Houdain (62), presented to the local press the transformation of an abandoned communal plot of land into an urban park, designed to revitalize the environment and offer residents a new space in which to relax. Named Parc de la Chaussée Brunehaut, this project illustrates a strong commitment to sustainable development and the reclamation of green spaces. Produced by Les Films d’Ici, this 15-minute video presents the conception and realization of L’Œil du Ciel. On the ECT site in Villeneuve sous-Dammartin, Antoine Grumbach designed a work of land art on the scale of the Paris metropolis. Laurent Mogno, President of ECT, places the work within the overall project for the site, and in a context of circular economy for excavated soil in the Ile-de-France region. Last but not least,farmer Jean-Baptiste Gautier imagines this artistic creation in the heart of the fields, while the site machines sculpt the work and the gardeners draw its contours.

How to create a landscaped park open to all, applying the principles of the circular economy? Reuse soil from construction sites to create a nature and leisure area open to all. As part of a competition organized by the company for the children of its employees, Jaëlle illustrated the creation of a park. This drawing retraces all the steps involved in the realization of an ECT project that responds to local issues.

How do you turn an unauthorized dump into a landscaped park? Julia, aged 8, illustrates the answer in comics. The drawing was part of a competition organized by the company for the children of its employees to illustrate the company’s business and their parents’ professions.

The Parc départemental de la Fosse-Maussoin in Clichy-sous-Bois (93) is a park open to the public, which benefits from this landscaped wooded area. Situated in a densely populated urban area, the 14-hectare park is an outstanding example of nature in the city. In January 2021, the Seine-Saint-Denis département officially inaugurated the park’s first extension. Other developments are underway to create a 22-hectare “green lung”, including a biodiversity zone. A further 7 hectares are currently being developed for this purpose.
