Cold weather safety at ECT sites

With the onset of winter, guaranteeing the safety and well-being of our employees working outdoors is a priority. A number of measures have been put in place to ensure safe working conditions in very cold weather, and to welcome our construction customers.

Working conditions adapted to the cold

For working in winterOur employees are equipped with appropriate protective clothing. Our equipment (4-in-1 parkas, wetsuits, hats, balaclavas, gloves) is designed to cope with cold and sub-zero temperatures. The aim is to ensure optimum thermal insulation, while providing the necessary comfort for working.

All workstations and living quarters at our sites are designed to ensure business continuity. Construction machinery is equipped with a heating system that ensures not only machine performance but also operator comfort.

Welcoming our construction customers in all weathers

The aim is to welcome our construction customers, whatever the weather. Trails and banks are prepared accordingly, starting in autumn. In the event of frost or snowfall, our teams step up the clearing and salting of access roads. In this way, our customers can continue to dispose of their excavated soil in complete safety.

Thank you to all ECT employees in the operations, environment, landscaping, green spaces and VRD departments, who work to keep our sites operational and guarantee the continuity of our services.
