As part of its commitment to responsible innovation, ECT is expanding its range of public works equipment with the Caterpillar D6 XE hybrid GPS 3D bulldozer (exclusive distributor Bergerat Monnoyeur). This investment illustrates ECT’s commitment to efficient and sustainable construction sites, ensuring the quality of its development projects.
This new bulldozer is currently being deployed at ECT’s site in Annet-sur-Marne (77).
Ultra-precision for project finishing
Trimble’s 3D GPS technology allows the 3D plan of the project profiles to be integrated directly. Each movement of the blade is tracked with an accuracy of 2 cm. This allows for perfect adjustment of slopes, contours, and final topsoil coverage.
“GPS guidance allows the bulldozer to be positioned very precisely on the coordinates prepared by the surveyor. This machine optimizes the way we work. It performs finishing work with ultra-precision, particularly on slopes and the replenishment of fertile horizons,” explains Antoine Oury, Operations Manager at ECT.
A powerful hybrid model
The D6 XE’s hybrid engine reduces fuel consumption and the carbon footprint of the development site. Faster and more precise, the machine improves costs, construction timelines, and the final quality of the project. This approach promotes the performance and sustainability of our construction sites.
Stability, comfort and safety
Drivers have access to advanced assistance systems such as Auto Carry, optimized traction, stabilized blade, and power steering. They also benefit from an ergonomic seat and customizable controls. These features reduce fatigue and improve safety during long days on the job site.
“This is a latest-generation bulldozer, which is much more comfortable. The various systems adapt the cab and seat to vibrations. Maneuvers are smoother and the driving aids improve concentration. Even on difficult terrain, because the bulldozer is equipped with Low Ground Pressure tracks and a wider chassis. They ensure maximum stability on all types of ground, even loose or unstable ground,” adds Antoine Oury.
Training and expertise
To take full advantage of these innovations, Ramiro Rodrigues, driver and trainer at ECT, underwent training with experts from Bergerat Monnoyeur. Sitech provided expertise in 3D GPS to ensure that each operator could use the machine with optimal precision.
