Innovation in the field with the Caterpillar D6 XE hybrid bulldozer
February 2026 –Â The Caterpillar D6 XE hybrid GPS 3D bulldozer was deployed to meet the finishing requirements of the Annet-sur-Marne project. Thanks to its integrated GPS 3D guidance, it follows the 3D plans of the profiles to be created, allowing for centimeter-precise adjustment of embankments, contours, and the topsoil layer. The Caterpillar D6 XE’s hybrid technology reduces fuel consumption for more sustainable performance, while improving driver comfort and safety with advanced assistance systems.
A project with environmental, agricultural and sporting prospects
The rehabilitation of the ECT-operated inert soil site (until September 2026) will serve three purposes: environmental, agricultural and recreational. It is part of an approach designed to enhance and revitalize the area. And it offers a sustainable transformation of the site for the benefit of the municipality and its residents, at no cost to the community. The project is based on an ambition that combines agricultural, environmental and recreational issues.
1 . Strengthening agricultural vocation and preserving biodiversity
The project involves the recultivation of agricultural plateaus. The planting of hedgerows will contribute to the structuring of the landscape. The integration of agroforestry practices – combining trees, crops and livestock – will reconcile agricultural production, soil protection and agricultural resilience in the face of climate change.
The creation of orchards and wooded areas will encourage the restoration of functional natural environments adapted to local biodiversity.
2 . Facilities for public and sports use
Part of the site will also be landscaped and accessible to the public, with open spaces and an area dedicated to mountain biking. The footpaths will create a loop between the site and the commune, offering easy access on foot or by bike to this new shared space for nature, sport and relaxation.
3 . Landscape enhancement
Among the points of interest, visitors will be able to climb “La Pyramide d’Annet”, designed by architect and urban planner Antoine Grumbach. At the top of this belvedere, visitors will find geographical and landscape information to help them better understand the wider landscape, the organization of the territory and the environmental characteristics of the project.
Rainwater management to resolve flooding episodes
Long exposed to flooding, the Clos Saint-Martin neighborhood has benefited for several years now from ECT’s long-term protection program. To protect residents from torrential rains, ECT has incorporated a series of hydraulic structures capable of absorbing 100-year floods.
At the heart of the project are three retention basins, one of which can hold up to 10,000 m³ of water. These basins have also been designed as future natural spaces: their gradual revegetation allows the emergence of wetlands conducive to biodiversity.
In addition, a network of perimeter ditches ensures fine stormwater management.
This comprehensive system combines hydraulic safety with environmental enhancement, offering the region a resilient solution.
Integration of the Annet-sur-Marne site into the Oasis Nature network
November 2022 – The Humanité et Biodiversité association has approved the inclusion of the renatured areas (embankments, fruit trees and tree-lined paths) on the site in its Oasis de Nature network.
Education for Sustainable Development at Ecole Vasarely
December 2021, ECT teams met with Vasarely primary school pupils. These instructive exchanges are part of the Education for Sustainable Development program, and provide an opportunity to present the project currently under development and the circular economy of excavated soil.

An "Earthworks" workshop at ENSP
A successful challenge for students at the Ecole de Paysage de Versailles, under the direction of Simon Boudvin. The aim of this artistic workshop, held in situ, was to design and create a work of art in 4 days using 1,000 m3 of inert soil and a bulldozer provided by ECT.
