"The town's desire to secure the southern entrance to the Porcheville leisure park has been realized with this belvedere and park project. Completed in just a few months by ECT, at no cost to the municipality, this new green space in town is a success. It perfectly complements the existing sports and leisure facilities. Porchevilloises and Porchevillois will be able to enjoy this space with complete peace of mind".
Project life
Education day on sustainable development
March 2023 – As part of the Education for Sustainable Development program, ECT worked with two schools in Porcheville. It’s an opportunity to raise students’ awareness of the issues involved in the circular economy of excavated soil from urban construction sites. With a very local example: the development of a park. After the theory, it’s time to get practical with planting. The 180 students came at the end of March to plant the embankments, flowerbeds and two remarkable trees. A day rich in discovery.
A new park completed in 6 months
On July 4, two months of safety work began at the southern entrance to the leisure park. The project, designed in collaboration with the town council, will be completed in winter 2023. The greening work is currently underway. The planted terraces are created and the site is seeded. Next step: planting at the end of March 2023 with Nelson Mandela and Pierre Marie Curie elementary schools.
A site visit for local residents
Thursday August 4 – a site visit was organized with local residents to inform them and provide answers about the schedule and conduct of the project being carried out in the commune over the two months of the summer.
The municipality and ECT secure and develop
The development includes a belvedere offering a 180° view of the surrounding area, and planted terraces overlooking the children’s playground.
Access to the site will be secured by 2 anti-intrusion gates.
