September 10, 2024 – ECT was privileged to welcome two Olympic taekwondo champions to the Villeneuve-sous-Dammartin (77) site.
Welcomed by ECT President Laurent Mogno, double Olympic medallist Pascal Gentil(Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004) and Paris 2024 Olympic medallist Cyrian Ravet shared their unforgettable Olympic Games experience with 135 children from Villeneuve and Le Mesnil-Amelot elementary school. The event was initiated by Isabelle Gautier, mayor of Villeneuve-sous-Dammartin, and her deputy Annick Kousignian, in collaboration with teachers from both schools.
Taekwondo champions gave children the opportunity to relive the values and enthusiasm of the Olympic Games, in an exceptional setting : L’Œil du Ciel. This afternoon, under the banner of sport and team spirit, began with a taekwondo demonstration.
Then all the students took part in a relay race reminiscent of the Olympic torch relay.
