New stage in the project to convert deconstructed plots of land

June 2025 – The site receives inert soil from local construction sites. This will last around three months. With this soil, the landscaping will be completed and fully financed.

Plan projet Bruay-la-Buissière

A new natural and landscaped area for the Cité des Musiciens

To transform these deconstructed spaces, a program of
renaturation will be deployed, following the creation of mounds on gentle slopes.
Each plot will be fully revegetated to give
its rightful place in nature. Green spaces :

  • A 1,500 m² flower meadow will be laid out in front of the homes, providing plant diversity that will also benefit pollinators.
  • On the periphery, wide grassed ditches will encourage the infiltration of rainwater.
  • The slopes will be planted with groves of trees and shrubs, accompanied by country hedges to reinforce the unity of the landscape. Plants will be of certified local origin.
  • One of the plots could be used for ecopasturing.
