L’Œil du Ciel, a work of art created by the circular economy of excavated soil

Produced by Les Films d’Ici, this 15-minute video presents the conception and realization of L’Œil du Ciel. On the ECT site in Villeneuve sous-Dammartin, Antoine Grumbach designed a work of land art on the scale of the Paris metropolis. Laurent Mogno, President of ECT, places the work within the overall project for the site, and in a context of circular economy for excavated soil in the Ile-de-France region. Last but not least,farmer Jean-Baptiste Gautier imagines this artistic creation in the heart of the fields, while the site machines sculpt the work and the gardeners draw its contours.

Landscaping a park by reusing excavated soil, illustrated by Jaëlle

How to create a landscaped park open to all, applying the principles of the circular economy? Reuse soil from construction sites to create a nature and leisure area open to all. As part of a competition organized by the company for the children of its employees, Jaëlle illustrated the creation of a park. This drawing retraces all the steps involved in the realization of an ECT project that responds to local issues.

How do you turn an unauthorized dump into a landscaped park? Julia, aged 8, illustrates the answer in comics. This animated comic retraces all the steps involved in ECT’s project: from a damaged site to the park’s opening to the public. The drawing was part of a competition organized by the company for the children of its employees to illustrate the company’s business and their parents’ professions.

Fosse Maussoin Departmental Park

The Parc départemental de la Fosse-Maussoin in Clichy-sous-Bois (93) is a park open to the public, which benefits from this landscaped wooded area. Situated in a densely populated urban area, the 14-hectare park is an outstanding example of nature in the city. In January 2021, the Seine-Saint-Denis département officially inaugurated the park’s first extension. Other developments are underway to create a 22-hectare “green lung”, including a biodiversity zone. A further 7 hectares are currently being developed for this purpose.
