ECT joins Réseau Haies France

Logo Réseau Haies de France

ECT has confirmed its membership of the Réseau Haies de France and its regional branch, Haies Haut-de-France. This network brings together all those involved in the preservation, protection, planting and sustainable management of hedges. Our membership is recognition of the ecological quality of ECT’s agricultural and landscape projects.

This commitment to Haies France confirms that we take hedgerows as a vector of biodiversity into account in the design and implementation of our projects. By structuring the landscape, hedges provide a natural transition between environments. Hedgerows and shrub borders accompany our reforestations to create varied ecosystems.

This is reflected in a number of our projects, with a sustainable, localized approach:

  • In Mazingarbe (62), the hedges will have an anti-pollen function. They will protect a seed orchard designed in partnership with the Espaces Naturels Régionaux (ENRx). This orchard contributes to the production of trees and shrubs of local origin, in compliance with the “Végétal local” brand.
  • On ECT’s agricultural redevelopment projects in Roissy-en-Brie(77) and Moissy-Cramayel (77), hedges line the agricultural plots to create functional biodiversity zones. They contribute to the ecological restructuring of areas, while providing corridors favorable to wildlife.

This dynamic extends our action as a Company Committed to Nature, with theFrench Office for Biodiversity.
