Project life

The Compagnie d'Arc de Morangis opens the doors of its archery range

Since the beginning of the year, archers have been training on this rehabilitated archery range. ECT created this plateau using excavated soil from construction sites in the Essonne region. This training area of almost 10,000 m2 offers a 360° view and is protected by a protective berm. The slopes of the plateau are wooded to create areas of biodiversity.

“It’s a sport of passion,” explains Aurélie Carpentier, an archer and club volunteer. The club is open to young people aged 9 and over.

This is yet another example of ECT’s ability to promote outdoor sports in the city.

The city of tomorrow will be sporty

A new 10,000 m² outdoor area will also be dedicated to archery for the Compagnie d’Arc de Morangis club.
Access to the plateau will also be adapted for people with reduced mobility.

In Morangis, Essonne, inert soil to finance agriculture and urban sports

The first earthworks began on October 15, 2019. The rehabilitation of a derelict site near Orly airport, in conjunction with the Morangis commune and local associations, will see the creation of an urban vegetable garden and a new archery range. These developments are entirely financed by ECT, through the re-use and reclamation of inert soil excavated from nearby construction sites.
