Press coverage

This center regularly attracts the interest of the media and experts, and here’s an overview of the latest visits and articles.

Inauguration of the ECT biological soil treatment center

April 5, 2018, La Courneuve (93) – ECT’s first biological treatment center for hydrocarbon-polluted soil was officially inaugurated by Stéphane Troussel, President of the Conseil Départemental de Seine-Saint-Denis, André Joachim, 1st Deputy Mayor of La Courneuve, Laurent Mogno President of ECT and Reda Semlali, Director of ECT’s commercial offering.

Biological treatment center for soil impacted by hydrocarbons

Hydrocarbon pollution of land is always linked to human activity. For example, it results from the activity of a former industrial site manufacturing automobile parts, a former service station or the damaged tank of a former boiler room. ECT has the capacity to treat these hydrocarbon-impacted soils at its La Courneuve (93) center, which specializes in biological treatment.

Sensitive land, illegally occupied

The clean-up work is taking place on a former site that has been illegally occupied. Once the waste had been disposed of, ECT was able to build its biological soil treatment center. The 10,000 m² center is the only one of its kind in France. It is the first fully covered and enclosed center. By 2020, the center will have the capacity to process 180,000 tonnes of impacted soil per year.
