Project presentation

Securing the Placo® quarry in Baillet-en-France by recycling excavated soil. The Baillet-en-France quarry has an outdoor platform for unloading excavated soil trucks. ECT is in charge of transportation and backfilling operations.

ECT’s expertise enables it to offer the carrier :

  • management of the backfill authorization process, with the dual aim of accommodating the largest possible volume of soil and optimizing the diversity of soil types used,
  • management of all backfilling operations at the quarry (safety, productivity, traceability and environment),
  • commercial management with building and civil engineering contractors to negotiate the terms and conditions of soil inputs,
  • land logistics management, including the installation of a double freight system.

March 2022 – A new earth unloading platform is installed. This platform makes soil unloading safer and simpler, and saves time: 10 minutes to unload the material. Construction work began in 2021 and lasted 6 months, with various trades working on the platform.

Discovering the galleries

Backfilling the quarry with soil corresponds to a procedure for making the galleries safe once mining has been completed. Backfill comes from construction sites. Land traceability is ensured by ECT.
