Project presentation
The project proposes to develop a site along the A13 freeway. It will enable the commune of Buchelay to continue revitalizing its town entrance. The perception of the site will change significantly: the new park will create a sound and visual barrier with the road infrastructure, providing a landscape transition. Objective: to improve the neighborhood’s living environment and quality of life. The new park is a continuation of the Plaine des Sports Grigore-Obreja sports complex, an invitation to stroll, relax and enjoy leisure activities. The park was inaugurated in May 2025 and is now open to all.

Buchelay park inauguration
May 2025 – At the end of the Course de l’Espoir organized as part of the festival La Main au Chapeau, Stéphane Tremblay, Mayor of Buchelay, invited local residents to inaugurate the new park created by ECT. Despite the capricious weather, this moment of exchange and conviviality continued over a friendly drink, shared in the heart of the park. Designed as a place of relaxation and leisure accessible to all, the park features sports equipment, a petanque court, street furniture, planted bleachers, flower meadows and over 5,000 trees planted with the participation of children from the Pierre Larousse school.

A day dedicated to biodiversity and the circular economy
December 2024 – The town council invited ECT to accompany pupils from Pierre Larousse school for an afternoon of initiation into sustainable development and biodiversity, around the future park created using local excavated earth from the construction industry. 80 schoolchildren took part in revegetating the embankments, planting almost 1,000 seedlings to create wooded areas. Mayor Stéphane Tremblay joined in the fun. Next step: inauguration of the site in spring 2025.

The park takes shape, the end of earthworks
June 2024 – The earthworks phase has been completed on site, despite delays due to weather conditions. This key stage has prepared the ground for future development. Between now and the end of the year, the green spaces will be laid out and the equipment installed: sports equipment, street furniture and a petanque court will complete this new park accessible to all.

Preparing the site
February 2023 – Preparatory work is in full swing, to prepare for the opening of the site to soil inputs in March, guaranteeing safety, traceability and well-being in the workplace. Following the creation of ditches and the stripping of topsoil, work is now underway on the site entrance to ensure optimum safety of access to the site. The receiving station is currently being installed with cameras to monitor unloading and radioactivity detection portals to ensure traceability of the soil received. A base will be set up with water and electricity connections for the well-being of our employees.

The project's ambitions
The eco-designed project with the municipality of Buchelay offers new uses: a new space for nature and leisure in the city in the form of a park, accessible to all.
This project complements the existing sports center and thus reinforces the revitalization of the town’s entrance.
This project has several objectives:
- renaturalize the site, creating a natural space in the city, with the planting of over 5,000 trees,
- protect it from noise pollution from the A13 motorway,
- provide spaces for comfort and play, with green landscaping and planted terraces,
- make the park accessible to all, with 640 m of paths accessible to people with reduced mobility.
