Upcycling soil by making mines and quarries safe, on France 2’s JT de 20h

20 août 2020

On 14 February 2019, the JT de 20h broadcast followed the pathways by which the excavated soil of the Grand Paris Express is re-used. ECT uses part of the soil from these construction sites to keep gypsum quarries in the Paris region safe. The first step is to analyse it in the laboratory. The second step is to carry out checks in the quarries. During this documentary, ECT’s technician verifies the quality of the soil in front of the camera. He checks it by smell and by eye.

Thank you Guillaume for a great demonstration!
